The Bottom Line

Nespresso Fortado Decaffeinato is a blend of Indian Robusta and Colombian Arabica beans. The intense blend delivers a strong drink and makes your morning perfect with woody and earthy notes.

Fortado Decaffeinato Meaning

Fortado Decaffeinato Gran Lungo Espresso Brews 5.0 oz drink. In Nespresso Fortado Decaffeinato, the decaffeinated Colombian Arabicas are used along with Indian Robusta beans. This blend adds less than 12 mg of caffeine and makes it best for caffeine-sensitive people.

What is the Taste of Fortado Decaffeinato?

In Nespresso Fortado Decaffeinato, a long roast at medium temperatures brings out the enjoyable coffee intensity in the Indian Robustas while the Arabica dark develop pleasant flavors. In my experience, the taste and texture of Fortado Decaffeinato are beyond anything. The smooth texture sits luxuriously on your tongue, and the bitter cocoa note and oak wood hints reinforce the coffee’s richness, making your evening better. I brewed gran lungo and milk recipes with Fortado Decaffeinato pod; it always amazed me.

Fortado Decaffeinato Taste Test

I unboxed my Fortado Decaffeinato Gran Lungo 30-count coffee capsules, and its grey metallic appearance, surrounded by a red ring, was impressive. Its metallic grey color reminds me of some car colors, and the red circle indicates that it is decaffeinated. It is a VertuoLine pod and is only brewed with Nespresso VertuoLine machines, so I brewed it in a lungo mug. The dripping of intense gran lungo Vertuo coffee looked pretty cool. It did not deliver any noticeable aroma; even when I smelled it, I did not feel any scent. Well! I tasted it; I felt cocoa and oak notes in my first sip and uttered wow myself. The oak notes were dominant and stayed for a more extended period, making the drink lingering.

When I took sip after sip, I also felt the leather taste and much bitterness, which I liked very much in the Fortado decaffeinato pod. The smooth texture danced on my palate and was lighter on my tongue. Overall, it possesses a pleasant flavor, and in my opinion, it is not best for morning coffee; however, you can enjoy it at night. Pair it with chocolates and vanilla and enjoy it as a dessert at night.

I frothed one-ounce cream and two-ounce Bailey’s in Aeroccino frother and added it to the brewed Fortado decaffeinato drink. The light brown color and taste of the coffee were fabulous. The coffee had a creamy texture, and I felt a bit of an alcoholic taste on my tongue. Enjoy hot or pour over ice; Fortado Decaffeinato will always amaze you. I think it is a solid entry into the world of Nespresso pods, and I suggest this pod remarkably.

Fortado Decaffeinato Features

I have mentioned some essential attributes of Nespresso Vertuo Fortado Decaffeinato gran lungo. These features help us know how Fortado Decaffeinato differs from other Nespresso pods. The texture, flavor, and drink quality make you understand when you should brew this great pod. Scroll down and stick to the end to ensure you would not miss any of its features. Let’s study these characteristics in detail.

Origin — Indian Robusta and Decaffeinated Colombian Arabica beans

Nespresso Vertuo Fortado Decaffeinato gran lungo is a blend of Indian Robusta and decaffeinated Colombian Arabica beans. This blend delivers high-quality and full-bodied drinks and also balances its intensity. It glows your cup with a bitter cocoa powder note and adds bitterness to the coffee.

Roasting Level — 4 out of 5

The Nespresso Vertuo Fortado Decaffeinato gran lungo is roasted in splits. The Indian Robusta is roasted for a long time at a medium temperature and preserves its intensity till the last sip. The Arabic beans are roasted dark and bring oak wood and bitter cocoa notes to the drink.

Aroma — Cocoa And Oak Wood Notes

When I brewed Nespresso Vertuo Fortado Decaffeinato gran lungo, its aroma did not fill the room. The chocolatey and woody aromatic profile soothed my nose when I got closer. It has a welcoming, intense, and lingering aroma. The main point is that it does not lose its aroma even after decaffeination. It is the best after-dinner beverage.

Acidity — 1 out of 5

The Nespresso Vertuo Fortado Decaffeinato gran lungo delivers strong and bitter drinks, but it does not make your drink acrid, sour, or citrus. The dark roasted blend of Indian Robusta and Colombian Arabica beans adds mild acidity and retains intensity till the last sip.

Bitterness — 4 out of 5

When I drank Gran Lungo Fortado Decaffeinato, I felt bitterness on the tip of my tongue. The dark roasted blend of Robusta and Arabica beans makes the drink intense and graces your palate with bitter cocoa and carbony notes.

Body — 4 out of 5

The Fortado Decaffeinato Vertuo coffee was intense and full-bodied. The smooth texture soothed my throat, and the blend of Robusta and Arabica beans delivered strong, dark, and heavy drinks. The briny and oak wood notes add richness to the Fortado Decaffeinato coffee. When I tried it with milk, its smoothness, creamy texture, and woody character were enhanced.

Flavor — Woody & Earthy

When I took the first sip of Fortado Decaffeinato coffee, I felt oak wood and dark cocoa notes on my palate. But in another sip, the game changed, and the earthy and hidey notes danced on my palate. When I added milk, the oak wood notes became dominant, and the chocolate notes became underlying. My experience with Fortado Decaffeinato coffee was amazing; each sip gave me a new flavor and made my evening bewildering.

Caffeine content — less than 12 mg

Nespresso gran lungo pods contain about 120-200 mg of caffeine and are enough to fulfill your caffeine needs for one day. This caffeine content can make you active for the whole day. Nespresso Fortado Decaffeinato’s Indian Robusta comes at you in full force. It has a low caffeine content but still delivers intense and bitter gran lungo drinks. When we calculated it in our lab, we found less than 12 mg of caffeine content in this great Nespresso pod.

Intensity — 8 out of 11

The Fortado Decaffeinato Vertuo delivers intense and dark gran lungo. The medium and long roast Robusta beans add intensity to the drink without harshness. The dark color, dense brown crema, and bitterness made my day astonishing. While drinking it, I did not feel that it was decaffeinated. Although it delivers bitter and intense drinks, it does not make it harsh, allowing you to drink the whole cup in no time.

Finish — Chocolaty and Oak wood notes

The oak wood notes were dominant when I finished my Fortado Decaffeinato coffee. It stayed for a long time and made the drink linger. In the end, I felt a bitter note on my tongue, but this bitterness is balanced with chocolaty notes. The coffee was smooth and left its character forever in my mind. I still remember its robust character and woody and earthy notes. The decaffeinated aspect allowed me to take 2-3 cups daily.

Fortado Decaffeinato Nespresso Caffeine Content

Nespresso Gran Lungo Fortado Decaffeinato has less than 12 mg caffeine content. The caffeine content delivers more potent and intense drinks but does not adversely affect the health of caffeine-sensitive people. High caffeine content increases the heartbeat and causes headaches or many other problems, so Fortado Decaffeinato is the best addition to the world of Nespresso capsules.

Fortado Nespresso Strength

Nespresso Gran Lungo Fortado Decaffeinato delivers full-strength drinks with solid character. The long roasted Indian Robusta and Central American Arabicas dark blend provide strong, intense, and heavy beverages. The hidey, woody, bitter cocoa, and earthy notes add richness to the coffee and make it one of the best after-dinner coffee.
