Energy saving mode in Nespresso Inissia

Energy saving mode is very effective in conserving electricity. If you were in a rush and remembered you forgot to turn off your brewer, then this programming is a go-go. To change the Nespresso Inissia energy-saving mode settings, here’s what you can do.

Instructions:-

  1. Turn ON your machine by pressing either Espresso or Lungo button.
  2. If you want to turn off your machine before it automatically turns off at its specific time (which is after 9 minutes as the default setting provides), then press both the Espresso and Lungo buttons simultaneously.
  3. If you want to enhance the time of automatic turn-off from 9 minutes to more, then this is how you can do it.
  4. Turn off the machine by pressing both the Espresso and Lungo buttons simultaneously.
  5. Press and keep holding the Espresso button for 3 seconds.
  6. The lights of the Espresso button will start blinking.
  7. To change the setting, press the Espresso button once; it will change the setting to 9 minutes. Again pressing will change the settings to 30 minutes.
  8. When you are done with the changes, Exit from the energy-saving mode by pressing and holding the Lungo button for 3 seconds.

How to First Use Or After A Long Period Of Non-Use?

If you are totally unaware of brewing coffee from a coffee machine like Nespresso Inissia, then follow the steps and fill your cup with warm, deliciousness.

Instructions:-

  1. Remove the water tank from the machine.
  2. Rinse and clean it 
  3. Fill Nespresso Inissia water tank with fresh water.
  4. Put a container of a minimum of 1 liter under the coffee outlet.
  5. Plug the cord into the power socket
  6. Turn ON your machine by pressing either Espresso or Lungo button.
  7. All the coffee lights will start blinking, ensuring the pre-heating phase has started.
  8. The heating phase will last for approx. 25 seconds then the lights will stop blinking and become steady.
  9. Now to internally rinse the machine, press the Lungo button one time.
  10. The water will start flowing into the placed container. 
  11. When the flow stops, discard the container water and repeat point 9 three times.
  12. Your machine is now ready for brewing.

How to prepare Coffee using Nespresso Inissia

After preparing your machine for the coffee, now it is time to brew delicious coffee for yourself. Here you can do it.

Instructions:-

  1. Turn ON your machine by pressing either Espresso or Lungo button.
  2. All the coffee lights will start blinking, ensuring the pre-heating phase has started.
  3. The heating phase will last for approx. 25 seconds then the lights will stop blinking and become steady.
  4. Rinse and fill your water tank with fresh drinking water.
  5. Lift the machine lever
  6. Insert your coffee capsule into the capsule compartment
  7. Close the lever
  8. Place a mug according to the type of beverage you are brewing under the coffee outlet.
  9. To brew the Lungo, press the lungo button. The size for Lungo is 110 ml
  10. To brew the Espresso, press the Espresso button. The size for Espresso is 40 ml.
  11. The coffee will start cascading into the cup. The flowing process will automatically stop when the set brew size is reached.
  12. Remove the used capsule by lifting and lever and closing it again.
  13. The used capsule will fall into the used capsule container.

Program the water volume in Nespresso Inissia

Nespresso Inissia gives you the leverage to change the volume setting of your beverages. You can change either the Lungo or Espresso button depending on your liking. 

Here are the steps to follow to program the water volume settings of your Nespresso Inissia

Instructions:-

  1. Turn on your machine by pressing either Espresso or Lungo button.
  2. All the coffee lights will start blinking, ensuring the pre-heating phase has started.
  3. The heating phase will last for approx. 25 seconds then the lights will stop blinking and become steady.
  4. Fill the water tank with freshwater.
  5. Insert your capsule by lifting the lever
  6. Close the lever after inserting the capsule into the capsule compartment
  7. Place a cup under the coffee outlet.
  8. Press and hold the coffee button whose water volume you want to change
  9. The coffee will start pouring into the mug. Keep pressing until you get the desired volume. Release the button once you achieve it.
  10. The water volume has changed now.

How to empty the system of Nespresso Inissia

If you want to empty your brewer for any reason, such as to send it for repair or to store it for some time, for frost protection, or during shifting, etc. Here you can do it.

Instructions:-

  1. Turn off your machine if it is not by simultaneously pressing Espresso and Lungo buttons.
  2. Remove the water tank from the brewer.
  3. Lift the lever
  4. Again press the Lungo and Espresso button simultaneously for three seconds.
  5. The Lungo and Espresso lights will start blinking alternatively.
  6. Close the lever
  7. After the emptying process ends, the machine will turn off automatically
  8. Lastly, empty the used capsule container and drip tray as well.

How to reset the Nespresso Inissia to factory settings

If you have made changes in the settings of the Nespresso Inissia and want to reset it to factory settings, then this is how you can do it.

Instructions:-

  1. Turn off your machine by simultaneously pressing Espresso and Lungo buttons.
  2. Press and hold the Lungo button for 5 seconds.
  3. The machines will reset to the factory setting as the coffee button lights start blinking three times.
  4. After this, the coffee button will generally continue to blink, ensuring the pre-heating phase is continuing.

Descaling Nespresso Inissia

Descaling should be an unforgettable step as your brewer’s maintenance, and good working condition depends upon it. It also enhances the coffee quality and quality. It only takes 15 minutes, and its positive effects can last upto 600 coffees or 6 months. To descale your Nespresso Inissia, here are the steps below.

Instructions:-

  1. Turn on the machine by pressing either Espresso or Lungo button.
  2. First thing first, remove the capsule from the machine by lifting the lever and closing it again. It will make the used capsule fall into the used capsule container.
  3. Also, empty the drip tray and the used capsule container.
  4. To start the descaling process, get your Nespresso Descaling Liquid Sachet and pour one whole sachet into the water tank.
  5. Pour 0.5 liter or 17 ounces of fresh water into the water tank.
  6. Mix the descaling solution and water nicely.
  7. Place the container of about 1 liter or 34-ounce volume under the coffee outlet.
  8. To get the machine into the descaling mode, press the Lungo and Espresso buttons for about 3 seconds.
  9. The coffee button lights will start blinking, ensuring the machine is now in descaling mode.
  10. Press the lungo button one time, don’t keep holding it.
  11. You will see the mixture will start pouring into the placed container.
  12. When the pouring stops, you will see the water tank is empty. 
  13. Refill the tank with this same used descaling solution poured into the container.
  14. Repeat point 10 one more time.
  15. After this, drain the used solution, rinse and clean the reservoir.
  16. Fill the reservoir with fresh drinking water.
  17. Rinse the machine two times with clean water by repeating point 10.
  18. Now press and hold Espresso and Lungo buttons for 3 seconds to exit the descaling mode.
  19. The coffee button lights will start blinking, ensuring the pre-heating phase is going on, which lasts approximately. 25 seconds.
  20. After this, the lights will stop blinking, and your brewer will be clean and ready to brew.

Remember! You should not let the descaling solution come in contact with sensitive skin areas, wounds, eyes, etc.

  1. For cleaning, you should never put your brewer’s part in the water or dishwasher.
  2. Clean the brewer’s outer covering and parts, such as the coffee outlet, with a soft, damp cloth.
  3. Remove the drip tray, water tank, and capsule container from the machine, empty, rinse, and clean them.
  4. You should not use a potent cleaning agent to clean the outer covering; instead, use a mild cleaning agent.
