I unboxed my Starbucks dark-roast Espresso Roast pod, and it had a navy blue color. It is compatible with Nespresso Vertuo machines, so I brewed it with my VertuoPlus Deluxe machine. My 1.35 oz espresso shot had a strong molasses and caramelized sugar aroma. I took a sip and got a rich molasses and caramel sugar flavor. The bitter notes spreaded across the edge of my mouth, and I could say it was an interesting Starbucks coffee cup. I am no Starbucks fan, but I liked this dark-roast blend.
