Nespresso OriginalLine Fortissio Lungo Dark-Roast Coffee Pod Taste Test

I unboxed my Fortissio Lungo pod, which had a green-teal color. I brewed it with my Gran Lattissima machine. After brewing, I took a sip and found the initial taste quite good. The sweet cereal and malt notes were coming through. It was a sweet espresso and had a smooth and silky texture. The mild acidic and bitter notes surprised me. I felt a decent amount of oil on my tongue. The best thing I liked about this coffee was the aftertaste; it was a pleasant sweet tobacco.

Well! I also tried it with milk. I frothed the three oz milk and added it to the Fortissio coffee. I took a sip and found a pleasant sweet cereal taste. It was a smooth and complex coffee cup. I also brewed iced coffee, and Fortissio surprised me with its hidden strength.

Fortissio Lungo is inspired by Sweden’s love and delivers a rich shot in which lively aromas accentuate malty notes. This Original pod gives you a caffeine kick for the day. Pair it with a chocolate croissant and enjoy your day.

History of the Fortissio Lungo Dark-Roast Coffee

In 2004, Nespresso launched Vivalto Lungo, and by 2009, it had developed more expertise in roasting, grinding, and flavor loading. So, it created an intense Fortissio Lungo capsule. In 2014, Nespresso redeveloped the intensity of Fortissio Lungo and increased its complexity and boldness without a darker roast. It added uniquely processed Indian beans and a Monsooned Malabar and offered deep coffee flavor and a rich body.

In the age of sailing ships, the West Indian coffee beans were exposed to monsoon winds after harvest to recreate the conditions of the long sea journeys to Europe, thus revealing a distinguished aromatic profile. If you love this blend, you will also fall for Stockholm Fortissio Lungo.

These capsules are compatible with only Original coffee brewers. Nespresso Original-Line offers a full range of coffee, from a short ristretto to the milder fruity espresso. Create recipes with/without milk and cherish your coffee moment.
