The morning has just begun, but a new day is within reach. Starting your day with coffee is a great way to start your day, the best way to get the day started right, make you feel better, and help you start on the right foot and get ready to be energized. Nespresso pods deliver you great coffee cups to start the day. I like Nespresso coffee capsules better than the Starbucks Nespresso coffee capsules in terms of crema and flavor. Below is the detail of one of the Nespresso coffee pods, i.e., Nespresso Melozio Decaffeinato. Whether you are a resident of the USA or not, you will fall for this Brazilian coffee. Let’s study this pod in detail.

The Bottom Line

Nespresso Melozio Decaffeinato is a harmonious blend of Latin American Arabicas. It has the same flavor, and intensity level as the Nespresso Melozio and Melozio Boost, except that it is decaffeinated, and Melozio Boost has 20% extra caffeine than the regular blend of Melozio. This decaf Vertuo coffee dances on your palate with a smooth texture, classic cereal notes, and a honeyed sweetness.

Melozio Decaffeinato Taste Test

I unboxed my Nespresso Melozio Decaffeinato Vertuo pods. These pods had a copper goldish look. The red ring around the pod indicated that it is decaffeinated. It is a Vertuo pod, so I brewed it with my Nespresso Vertuo. It delivered me a 7.7 oz dark coffee cup with dense crema. The color indicated it has an intensity of 5-6. It smelled good, and I found a sweet scent. I took a sip, and it had a remarkably smooth flavor and a nice finish. As it is a decaffeinated pod, it had a lot of sweetness. The sweeter taste hinted at the blend of Brazilian Bourbon beans. My drink had a hint of acidity and bitter notes. Melozio Decaffeinato has more characteristics than Melozio pods, almost in a refined form. The drink had a smooth texture and was undoubtedly a nice, smooth, velvety cup of coffee. This decaffeinated drink is best for mid-afternoons or evening cravings. Melozio Decaffeinato does not deliver a strong coffee cup that wakes you up as it lacks caffeine.

Well, I brewed another cup with milk. I added vanilla syrup to the whole milk and frothed it. I added the frothed milk into the Melozio Decaffeinato coffee. I took a sip and felt honeyed sweetness on my tongue. The milk had masked its bitterness and delivered me a good coffee cup.

I also brewed another cup with Melozio Decaffeinato. I added cinnamon, nutmeg powder, and sweetener to the 3 oz milk and frothed it. I added the frothed milk into the Melozio Decaffeinato coffee. When I tasted it, I would say it was a nightmare drink. You are sitting around the fire with the family; this decaf drink would soothe you. The drink had a wonderful texture, and spicy notes were coming through. It was a good coffee cup with the aroma of delight.

So, this decaf Vertuo coffee sings with smooth cereal notes and honeyed sweetness, giving you a spark for the day. These capsules are only compatible with Nespresso Vertuo machines. Melozio and Melozio Boost also carry the same aroma and flavor. Enjoy hot or cold, or pair it with biscotti or scones; Nespresso Melozio Decaffeinato will always amaze you.

Origin — Latin American Arabicas

Nespresso Melozio Decaffeinato is a harmonious blend of Brazilian Bourbon variety beans and Central American Arabicas. These beans guarantee coffee freshness and keep its character intact. The split roast Bourbon adds sweetness and distinct cereal notes. The light roasting of Central American Arabicas rounds out the decaf blend and delivers smooth coffee.

My Melozio Decaffeinato coffee had a lively aroma. I felt a sweet scent. The sweet aroma of delight refreshed my evening, and I forgot all my worries. Melozio and Melozio Boost also carry the same aroma. The delight and sweet aromatic profile make split roast Melozio Decaffeinato different from all other coffee pods.

Acidity — 1 out of 5

As Melozio Decaffeinato lacks caffeine, so my coffee cup had a hint of acidity. The lightly roasting of decaffeinated Latin American Arabicas adds sweet notes and does not make coffee acrid or harsh. This mild and enjoyable acidity makes it best for caffeine-sensitive people.
