To turn on descale modes, power off the K-Express (but plugged in), and hold the 8 and 12 brew size buttons together until the 10 button lights up. Now the descale light starts flashing, indicating that descale mode has been turned on. Now just press the 10 brew size button, and the machine begins pouring the solution into the container under the drip. The machine will pour 10 ounces in one go and press the 10-button again to run all the solution through the machine until the add water light turns on. After the add water light turns on, remove the reservoir from the machine wash and refill it with fresh water. Place the reservoir into its place, press the 10-button, and repeat the process until the descale light turns off. After the descale light turns off, descaling is completed.
