Keurig K-Duo Plus Overview

Keurig K-Duo Plus has many worth-experiencing features that will live up to your wishes. Let’s get straight ahead toward its assisting specifications without wasting time.

First, we have its 12-cup thermal Carafe that comes with the Keurig K-duo plus brewer. It keeps your brew warm for a maximum time of 2 hours. Pretty favorable for those who intake coffee now and then. Works very well with both K-cup pods and ground coffee and brews a robust and intense coffee cup or Carafe.

It also has an adjustable water reservoir like the Keurig K-Supreme brewer but with another side. The removable water reservoir has a capacity of 60 oz which can brew multiple brew sizes of 6, 8, 10, or 12-cup carafe and 6, 8, 10, or 12 oz single-serve cup.

The Auto-brew carafe feature can allow you to schedule your brew timings to automatically brew your joe when you want it to be within 24 hours. Design and footprint

Keurig K-Duo Plus owns a stainless-steel design which enhances its longevity and strength plus, its matte black color gives this brewer its eye-catching look. This model is slim due to its adjustable water reservoir’s three sides (left, right, and back). Also, the thermal Carafe is made of stainless steel material of silver color that contrasts perfectly with black brewer.

Its Gold-tune reusable mesh filter smoothens the multiple brew process. Overall its slimness is very convenient for enhancing countertop space. If the reservoir is adjusted at the back, it enhances its slimness even more. Its smart footprint-look also fits perfectly with the place and enhances its modern look.

.

VARIOUS BREW SIZES

One of its main features, besides brewing single-serve brew cup sizes of 6, 8, 10, or 12 oz, it also brews a pot of java of about 12 cups. You can select from 6, 8, 10, or 12 cup sizes upon your wish. The process is also straightforward. All you have to do is to insert your K-cup pod or coffee grounds in the brewer, select the cup or carafe button, followed by brew size. Hot java will be dripping in your Carafe or cup within a few minutes.

Brew both Cup and Carafe

Distinctive features this machine owns; firstly, it brews both Cup and Carafe, and secondly, both have a different nozzle for dripping the brew and separate placing space. If you want to brew a K-cup pod, you will see installment space at the top of the machine on the upper side of the buttons. Just push the lid up and insert your k-cup pod. If you want to brew your coffee grounds, just pull the filter basket facing you, insert coffee grounds, select the buttons, and Voila! the brewer will serve the brew for you.

This Keurig coffee maker model is called DUO because it can brew both k-cup and Carafe, having a separate nozzle and placing space for both in the same machine.

Adjustable Water reservoir

Keurig K-duo Plus coffee maker has a large water reservoir of about 60 oz for a long-running joe-relishing experience. Another cool feature it owns is its adjustable water reservoir. Under the machine, you will see 3 clippings; there, you can reposition your water reservoir according to your countertop space. All you have to do is to remove the clips from where you want to clip your reservoir, unplug the already-set reservoir position, move it CAREFULLY (not to break the hose) to the destined place, and clip it there. It can be adjusted at the back, left side, or right side of the machine. The water reservoir also has its filtration holder, where the water charcoal filter is adjusted for water purification.

Strong brew

Want to have a strong or intense brew? Don’t worry; Keurig k-duo Plus is here for you. It has its strong brewing option. By selecting it, you can instruct the machine to intensify your brew. This option is available for both Carafe and K-cup brewing, So you can take it by yourself or serve it to a large gathering without much hassle of brewing one by one for each person.

12 cup-thermal carafe

Stainless-steel thermal carafe is also a part of Keurig K-duo Plus. It can store about 12 cups of coffee in it. Moreover, the hotness of the coffee is maintained for more than 2 hours due to thermal layering inside the Carafe. The steel material makes it more protective, well-made, and functional than the glass carafe. The thermal Carafe has accommodated itself better than the heating plate due to its long-lasting java warmth maintenance.

Ease of use

Using Keurig K-duo Plus is very simple. Its brewing methods take only a few steps before dripping your coffee into the Carafe or cup. If you have a k-cup pod, insert it into the k-cup pod holder at the top of the machine. Select the carafe or cup button, followed by the brew size. However, if you want to brew from your coffee ground, a separate compartment is made for it, located at the upper front of you. Pull the filter holder, put your coffee ground, and rest like the brewing k-cup pod. Water reservoir has a handle and is removable, making refilling easy and spillage-proof.

PAUSE & POUR

The pause and pour feature is that small feature that owns its weight on overall machine specifications and working. These options make a 20-second gap at the brewing carafe’s interval, allowing its user to pour the fresh hot coffee into their cup. After 20 seconds, the remaining brew kept dripping. Although the overall carafe brewing takes around 10 minutes, you can still make a gap to pour the just-brewed coffee into your mug/cup.

Coffee quality

When it comes to good quality coffee, Keurig brewers have always retained their absolute coffee taste level and increased their brewer features to enhance it further. Keurig K-Duo Plus is one of the top brewers. I experienced this brewer to justify the truth about its top ranking, and I would agree with it. It tasted really good. The strong brew button was not for me as I am not a fan of intense coffee, but Keurig K-Duo Plus wined my heart in providing my suitable coffee.

PROGRAMMABLE CARAFE AUTO-BREW

Keurig K-Duo Plus simpleness in usage increased after introducing auto-brew technology. Auto-brew technology allows us to schedule the brew time up to 24 hours. The machine will automatically adjust the settings and brew a hot cup at the set time.

Compatible with my k-cup universal Reusable coffee filter

Keurig k-duo Plus has its specific place for inserting k-cup pods and coffee grounds. However, you can also insert your coffee ground in my k-cup universal Reusable coffee filter, which is then inserted into the k-cup pod holder and placed in the machine. It will brew up to 6, 8, 10, or 12 oz of coffee.

Gold tone mesh filter

Keurig k-duo Plus has a gold tone mesh filter at the top front facing you. You will see a gold mesh filter where you can place your ground coffee to brew a nice flavor into your cup when you slide it.

Simple buttons controls

The control and brewing process is straightforward in Keurig k-duo Plus. Not many steps have to be done before brewing. The thing you have to perform after putting in a pod or coffee ground is to select the carafe or coffee button and brew size button. Further work is left for the machine, which will do very neatly and quickly.

ENERGY EFFICIENT

Energy conservation is also included, which is very important for nature and the earth. This feature automatically turns off the machine after 5 minutes if not in use.

SMART BREW

It is a time-saving step. After you give instructions to the machine for the brewing, it starts brewing without heating the water and then starts the brewing process. In other words, you don’t have to wait for the water to warm up and then give brewing instructions. It is all a one-go process.

TRAVEL MUG FRIENDLY

Keurig K-duo Plus is also a travel mug-friendly brewer. Its removable drip tray allows its user to fit up to an 8″ tall mug in a brewer.

Performance

Performance-wise, Keurig K-duo Plus is very straightforward in its usage. Its process takes from a few steps to none at all. In the few steps, all you have to do is insert the K-cup or coffee grounds into their specific sections in the machine. Select the setting which requires only 3 buttons; power on, Carafe or cup selection, and brew size. For almost no steps, the Auto-brew setting comes in handy; you can schedule your coffee brew timings within 24 hours, and brewing will start on its own at the set time.

Multiple brew sizes allow up to 12 single-serve cups or a full carafe of coffee due to the large reservoir of 60 oz. Its DUO technology uses both k-cup and coffee grounds. Auto-brew also makes K-Duo Plus worth purchasing. Pause and pour allows instant coffee serving. Strong brew for robust joe. A thermal carafe keeps the coffee warm for many hours as well. Overall from a simple processing method to many tastes, strength, and warmthness enhancing features, K-Duo Plus gives great performance to its users.

What is Keurig K-Duo Plus Iced Coffee?

Keurig k-duo plus serves you to make iced coffee as well. You can pour hot coffee on the ice to make iced coffee. Not only can you brew a cup size of 6, 8, 10, or 12 oz for iced coffee, but you can also brew a 6, 8, 10, or 12 oz carafe. The choice is yours. The strong button allows for brewing a stronger coffee for stronger iced joe.

What is Keurig K-Duo Plus 5200

Keurig k-duo 5200 is a test drip coffee maker. The reason for creating this type of version is to test these model’s abilities, such as brew convenience, overall brew performance, and carafe quality and ease, based on different criteria and then to rate them accordingly.

By checking and testing the brewer’s convenience, we will know about its filter placing and ease in refilling and cleaning. Brew working test shows standard brewing temperature, mainly between 195 to 205 degrees, and coffee quality. For Carafe ease, it shows how comfortable the handle is for pouring and grabbing, how much it can retain the coffee, or how easy it is to empty it fully. All these will be given by Keurig k-duo 5200 test drip coffee maker.

How to Find Keurig K-Duo Plus Model Number

The model number is placed at different positions. Most commonly are under the machine or behind the reservoir. For the Keurig k-duo Plus, the model number is located at the bottom of the machine, i.e.under the drip tray. Its model number is 5000204978.

How to Solve Keurig K-Duo Plus Problems

How to Solve Keurig K-Duo Plus Problems? Sometimes small technical problems occur that, if not solved, will hinder the brewer’s proper functioning. Users also panic but don’t worry, here we will tell you the solution to small problems through which you can easily fix them at home without going or calling the electrician.

The most common problem users face is the ADD WATER symbol which doesn’t vanish even if the reservoir is filled. Maybe it’s because of the adjustable water reservoir. When you move its position, a kink may form in the water tubes, which blocks the flow. Another reason may be the air bubble is blocking the reservoir plunger. If your ADD WATER symbol doesn’t vanish even when your reservoir is full, here are a few tricks and methods to solve this problem.

  1. Let’s start by removing the reservoir from the machine; you will see a hole where the reservoir clips to the brewer. Press or push a few times to check any air bubbles causing the ADD WATER” symbol. Or add a few drops of water in the hole, then push again. After this, attach the reservoir back. It will fix the machine.
  2. Now, if method no. 1 doesn’t work, try this instead. First, unplug the brewer. Now turn the machine upside down there; you will see two screws at the corners of the machine. Unscrew them both. Lose the reservoir stand for easy working. For the next step, you should be very careful. Slide back the brewer side cover with a little force. The whole cover will unlock and comes right off. Don’t insert too much force, or it will break the covering. Once the side cover is removed, you will see transparent tubes through which the water runs. Check if any kink in the water tubes hinders the water flow toward the water sensors. If any, then unkinks it. Put back the covers, plug the machines, and hopefully, that ADD WATER will be gone by now.

Keurig K-Duo Plus How To Use

Keurig k-duo Plus allows its user to make both Carafe and cup of coffee. There are separate places for the k-cup pod holders and ground coffee brewer. In the k-cup pod holder, located at the machine’s upper part, you can put any k-cup pod and brew yourself a cup of joe. However, if you want to brew your coffee ground, then by using my k-cup universal filter, you can place it in the pod holder and brew yourself the perfect flavor cup.

At the upper front facing you, there is a filter holder. Pull it, and you will see a reusable gold mesh where you can put your coffee ground and brew a carafe of coffee. A 60 oz water reservoir can also be attached to the brewer’s left, right, or back. The Carafe is made of stainless steel that holds up to 12 cups and keeps your coffee warm for more than 2 hours.

These are the parts that help in processing Keurig k-duo Plus. Let’s see how to use it for brewing coffee;

To brew ground coffee using Keurig, my k-cup universal reusable filter, you must first remove the pod holder from the machine. To do that, you have to take the reusable mesh drawer out from the brewer. Then insert your finger in its place to push the pod holder upward. Hold the pod holder from the top while pushing; the holder will easily come off. Place back the mesh drawer. Now you can add your Keurig my k-cup universal reusable filter. After turning on the machine, select the cup button and brew sizes. Press the strong button if you want intense coffee; if not, leave it. In a few minutes, the brew will be dripping into your cup.

If brewing the k-pod, then leave the pod holder removing step. Add the k-pod to the pod holder, adjust the setting. For the Carafe, choose the carafe button and the brew size.

To adjust the water reservoir in a different position:

  1. Remove the water reservoir from the machine and turn the machine upside down. You will see two clippings besides the actual reservoir stand attached position.
  2. Unclip the reservoir stand and the one where you want to attach the reservoir.
  3. Carefully slide the reservoir towards its destined postion and clip it back.
  4. Turn the machine to its original position, and attach the reservoir.
  5. Keurig k-duo allows users to readjust the reservoir in three locations; left side, right side, or at the back.

The button’s control is also very simple. First, there is an on/off button. Besides this, there is a display showing the timer. You can pre-schedule your brew time for up to 24 hours using the H and M buttons. A strong button option is also present for a robust and intense brew. Below all these buttons, you will see a round large K button around which small buttons are present. You can select a carafe or cup plus their brew sizes. Is Keurig K-Duo Plus for You?

Keurig k3-duo series; each serves its more unique functions to the users, but enhancing the ease and coffee taste always remains Keurig coffee maker’s priority. To answer the question, “is Keurig k-duo plus for you,” Let’s dig into all three duo series. And discover what qualities they own and k-duo plus features that suit you.

Start by their differences in Keurig k-duo and k-duo plus comparison. Keurig k-duo doesn’t have its own reusable golden tone mesh filter, while Keurig k-duo plus comes with it. For the mesh replacement, you need to buy a flat-bottom paper filter, like Keurig k-duo. The Keurig k-duo has a heating plate, while the plus model has not. Keurig k-duo has two separate places for brewing single-cup and Carafe, while Keurig k-duo plus has one place for both. Physical differences also exist between them. The Plus model has an adjustable water reservoir that can be placed at the back, right or left side of the brewer and is slimmer and a counter space reservoir than the Keurig k-duo, which takes more space.

For similarities, Keurig k-duo retained its strong brew button in its advanced version k-duo plus. Both models have the same 60 oz water reservoir, multiple carafes, and single cup brew sizes; 6, 8, 10, and 12oz, space for fitting travel mug, auto-brew options, smart start technology, and can brew both coffee grounds and k-cup pods.

Keurig-duo plus and Keurig k-duo plus essentials brew ground coffee and k-cup pods. Essentials lack a strong brewing option while plus have this feature. The Essentials model, as instructed by Keurig itself, can retain 60 oz of water. Still, it has more water retaining capacity than 60 oz, which is very good. Keurig k-duo plus has an adjustable water reservoir in three places, while essential doesn’t have this ease. Brew size also differs in both. Plus model can brew both single cup and carafe brew sizes of 6, 8, 10, and 12 oz, while the essentials model only brews both single cup and carafe brews of 8, 10, and 12oz. Auto brewing option is available in k-duo plus, while the essentials model lacks this. K-duo essentials have less mug fitting height than the plus model, having the drip tray on. Keurig k-duo plus essentials have separate or side-by-side places for dual brewing, while the plus model has only one place. That’s why the plus model is slimmer than both essentials and k-duo. Keurig k-duo plus essentials have a glass carafe and heating plate, while the plus model has stainless steel carafe with no heating plate.

We have thoroughly acknowledged the comparison between Keurig k-duo, plus, and essentials; let’s see which features suit you the most.

  1. If you want a Keurig coffee maker that has a large water reservoir capacity, strong brewing option, auto-brewing technology, streamlined brewer, carafe brewer, can brew both k-cup pods and ground coffee, and adjustable water reservoir for less space cover. Plus has a modern look, simple button controls, and stainless steel carafe for keeping coffee warm up for more than 2 hours then Keurig k-duo plus will be the best choice for you.
  1. Keurig k-duo plus essential will be the best option if your requirements are; should have a large water reservoir as essential can store more than 60 oz in it, have a brew size of 8, 10, and 12 oz for both Carafe and single cup brewing, have separate compartments for both Carafe and single cup brewing, can brew both coffee grounds and k-cup pod, don’t matter if strong brewing option is not present, and has a glass carafe instead of stainless steel.
  1. If you are looking for a brewer that has a strong brewing option, has a separate area for brewing carafe and single serve coffee, can brew both coffee grounds and k-cup pods, have a heating plate, has a stainless steel carafe, large reservoir but not adjustable like a plus model, can brew 6, 8, 10, or 12 oz brew size for both Carafe and single cup, and have an auto brewing option than Keurig k-duo will be a perfect match.

Their differences include; Keurig k-duo has two separate places for brewing carafe and single-serve cups, while Keurig k-duo plus has only one for both Carafe and single-serve brewing. The heating plate is present in k-duo and absent in k-duo plus. In k-duo, you have to buy a reusable gold mesh filter or filter paper separately; k-duo already owns this. The adjustable reservoir is part of the plus model and is slimmer than the k-duo version.

Does the Keurig K-duo plus come with a water filter?

Keurig k-duo plus has a 60 oz water reservoir with included water filter. There is a filter holder, provided the Keurig water charcoal filter is inserted. This combo is then blacked in the water reservoir, and water is purified. So, yeah, Keurig k-duo plus does come with a water filter of its own.
